How to delete and format a protected EFI disk partition on USB thumb drive

When you try to remove the partition on USB thumb drive which is protected EFI disk partition, you will receive a error "Access is denied"

(Remark: You cannot not use Windows format tools to format the USB thumb drive too)

 

Solution:

Use "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool" to format the USB thumb drive

Then, use "Diskpart" to clean the disk.

 

It will become a normal USB thumb drive now.
