1. Install the Chromebook Recovery Utility on your Google Chrome Browser
2. To run your Chromebook Recovery Utility successfully, you need to use administrator right to login your machine, runas administrator on your Google Chrome browser (Right click "Runas administrator" on the Google Chrome icon on your desktop shortcut)
3. Follow the installation guide to create the bootable usb thumb drive.

 

 

3. Select "Google Chrome OS Flex"

 

 

 

Note: Already a 8GB USB flash drive able to pass the checking, but you will failed to complete the creation. You need a 16GB USB flash drive

 

 

 

Start the installation:

1. The first screen when you boot into your usb thumb drive

 

2. Click Get Started

3. Click "Install CloudReady 2.0"

 

4. Install CloudReady 2.0

5. Install (It will erase your hard drive)

6. It start to install

 

7. It will count down to shutdown your machine after the installation completed.

8. Power on your machine and you will see the welcome screen again

9. Connect to your wifi

 

 

After that my machine keep reboot……

 

I test to install it on IBM x61, Lenovo x200. Both of them cannot start the installation process.

 

After that I able to install it on Acer V5-571G but it keep auto reboot after the installation completion.

 

 

Remark: Chrome OS Flex is currently released for early access testing and is not suitable for production use. CloudReady is available for immediate stable deployment. Google will automatically update CloudReady devices to Chrome OS Flex, when Chrome OS Flex is stable.
