Install Visual Studio 2017 completely offline

After you download the VS 2017 offline installer

Run the command under administrator right:

c:\vs2017layout\vs_professional.exe --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Workload.ManagedDesktop --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Workload.NetWeb --add Component.GitHub.VisualStudio –includeOptional

If you install the VS 2017 by using offline installer and without internet connection, you need to

Install three certificates under the “certificates” folder first.

Download Visual Studio 2017 offline installer (No ISO file provide by Microsoft for VS 2017)

Download either one of the following installer:

Visual Studio Community

vs_community.exe

Visual Studio Professional

vs_professional.exe

Visual Studio Enterprise

vs_enterprise.exe

 
Run the following command under administrator right (runas administrator when open cmd)
 
 
Download Visual Studio Community
vs_community.exe --layout c:\vs2017layout --lang en-US

Download Visual Studio Professional
vs_professional.exe --layout c:\vs2017layout --lang en-US
