HP mobile thin client mt44 install windows update not enough space

Solution:

Change Z:\temp to C:\temp for both variable TEMP and TMP (Both user and system variable need to change)

HP Mobile thin client mt44 Windows 10 update

Install two Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 (KB4485447 and KB4498947)

And then install the 2019-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 (KB4494440) later

Remark: Windows 10 Version 1607 which is a.k.a. Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB

To able to install .cab Windows update download from HP ThinUpdate, you need to enable the window update service

How to increase RAM Drive size in mt44 HP mobile thin client on Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB

When you install a large application, it prompt a error not enough space on your RAM Drive.

Just change the key “DiskSize” and “DiskSizeMax” which is under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Ramdisk\Parameters to increase the size

Remark: I have also disabled HP UWFC (Write filter) so the changes I make do save.

Imperva Upgrade from 11.5 to 13

From v 11.5 to 13

V13 the NTLM support have compatibility issue with Windows Server 2012 R2 AD under HTTP Proxy Configuration (Workaround is change the “Authentication Policy” to “Basic”)
Collect all SSL certificate file and key (e.g. abc.com.crt and abc.com.key) before upgrade since some key will lost during the upgrade

Open the Peachtree program on server and re-active the license.

FireEye upgrade Summary

Before you upgrade NX or EX, you need to upgrade your CMS first

Upgrade CMS

Backup the configuration (It need to run estimate first to check the first space is it enough to backup.)
The CMS need to upgrade first and also it needs to be higher version than FireEye NX and EX
CMS Update take a long time (90 mins) and also need to click “refresh” at each steps.
Reboot the CMS before start the upgrade process

Upgrade NX

Backup the configuration (It need to run estimate first to check the first space is it enough to backup.)
Before upgrade, it needs to reboot. To reboot the appliance, you need to use SSH login and change to enable mode, then run #reload
After reboot, wait for 20 mins
Apply the new firmware, then reboot it. It take 30 mins to 45 mins
After the upgrade success, it need to update the new guest os

Upgrade EX

2. Before upgrade, it needs to reboot. To reboot the appliance, you need to use SSH login and change to enable mode, then run #reload

3. After reboot, wait for 20 mins

4. Apply the new firmware, then reboot it. It take 30 mins to 45 mins

IE 11 direct download link for Windows 7

If you new build a Windows 7 machine, the IE8 built-in browser cannot support most of the website now. You need to upgrade it to IE11 before you able to download another software.
